
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been ruled out for the team’s recent matchup against the Sacramento Kings due to left hamstring soreness.
This marks his second consecutive missed game, following a previous absence caused by right shoulder soreness. The hamstring issue is a new concern, adding to the challenges Morant has faced this season .
Despite these setbacks, Morant has been performing at a high level when on the court. In his last five games before the injuries, he averaged 32.8 points, 8.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, with a shooting percentage of 55.8% from the field . Overall, for the 2024–25 season, he has averaged 22.3 points, 7.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game .
The Grizzlies have managed a 15-10 record without Morant this season, demonstrating resilience in his absence . However, with the playoffs approaching and the team vying for a top seed in the Western Conference, Morant’s health remains a critical factor for their postseason aspirations.
