Most notably, he served as head coach at the University of Arkansas from 1998 to 2007, where he led the Razorbacks to eight bowl appearances and three SEC Western Division titles. His fiery sideline presence, dedication to character, and unwavering competitiveness made him a beloved figure in Fayetteville and a respected name nationwide.
