🚨 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Viktor Gyökeres opens door to Arsenal move as summer priority ❤️🤍.

Arsenal have received a major boost in their pursuit of Viktor Gyökeres, with the Swedish striker reportedly prioritizing a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer. The Sporting CP star, who enjoyed a sensational season in Portugal, is said to view Arsenal as his ideal next step, putting Mikel Arteta’s side in pole position should they decide to move forward.

Sources close to the player suggest Gyökeres is open to the Arsenal project and would welcome the opportunity to play Champions League football under Arteta. Although no formal agreement has been reached, contacts have been established between the Gunners and Gyökeres’ camp, with initial talks described as “positive.”

Manchester United remain interested and are monitoring the situation closely. The Red Devils are prepared to make a move should Arsenal fail to secure a deal, but they now believe the player’s preference for Arsenal is evident. United’s interest remains active, especially as they seek a physical and prolific striker to lead their attack next season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have also held negotiations with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško. The young Slovenian forward is admired by the Gunners hierarchy, but with competition from multiple top clubs, securing his signature could prove complicated.

Arsenal are expected to make a definitive decision soon, weighing up their options between Šeško and Gyökeres. While Šeško’s potential is undeniable, Gyökeres offers proven output at a high level, having scored 43 goals across all competitions in the 2023/24 season.

As it stands, Gyökeres appears to be edging ahead in the race for Arsenal’s striker signing this summer. With the player reportedly keen, it’s now down to the North London club to decide whether to trigger his release clause and seal the deal.
