Sources close to the situation have described the conversation as “intense” and “thorough,” as Berta laid out Atletico’s ambitious vision and the significant role Eze would play if he made the move to La Liga.

 

Eze, 26, has attracted attention from several top clubs following a standout season in the Premier League, where he notched 11 goals and 4 assists despite an injury-hit campaign. Atletico Madrid have emerged as a serious contender for his signature, with Berta personally taking charge of the negotiations — a clear sign of how highly the Spanish giants rate the England international.
