Arsenal get huge Real Madrid Rodrygo transfer update as private Xabi Alonso decision emerges 🔴⚪.

Arsenal have received a major boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as reports from Spain suggest new head coach Xabi Alonso is prepared to sanction his departure this summer. The Brazilian international has struggled for consistent minutes under Alonso, who recently replaced Carlo Ancelotti. Despite Rodrygo’s talent and experience at just 23 years old, Alonso sees him as non-essential to his tactical plans moving forward.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Rodrygo has grown frustrated with his reduced role and has privately accepted the idea of a move, with Arsenal leading the race for his signature. Xabi Alonso has reportedly informed Real Madrid’s hierarchy that Rodrygo is among a group of players—alongside Brahim Díaz and Dani Ceballos—who can be sold to fund new arrivals.

Arsenal, who have already secured the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea, are said to be seriously considering a formal offer in the region of €80–90 million. Mikel Arteta is a long-time admirer of Rodrygo’s versatility, with the Brazilian capable of playing on either wing or even as a central attacker.

With Bukayo Saka established on the right and questions still lingering over Gabriel Martinelli’s form and fitness on the left, Rodrygo could bring immediate quality and depth to Arsenal’s frontline. His Champions League experience and flair suit Arteta’s attacking system.

Liverpool and Manchester City have also been linked, but Arsenal’s early groundwork and relationship with Rodrygo’s representatives put them in a strong position. The next steps could unfold quickly, especially once Real Madrid officially greenlights a sale.

A blockbuster Premier League move now looks increasingly likely — and Arsenal are ready

to pounce.
