Saudi Arabia’s push into football has been aggressive and unprecedented, and Salah has been bookmarked by PIF as their prized target despite already signing the likes of Neymar and Karim Benzema.

Al-Ittihad reportedly believe that Mohamed Salah wants to join them, with the Liverpool winger linked with an exit from Anfield this week.

Sources have indicated that the £34m attacker is open to moving to the Middle East in the coming days, with Al-Ittihad preparing a new offer to present to Liverpool.

The Saudi Arabia side failed on deadline day with a £150m offer to bring Salah to Jeddah, with a world-record £200m bid now in the pipeline for Liverpool.

Whilst many expect Liverpool to reject this offer, Salah’s potential new stance on the transfer could force the Reds to accept the bid, should the 31-year-old actually want a move to Saudi Arabia.

Indeed, Liverpool know that replacing Salah will be impossible even with the window open, and the Anfield side just can’t allow their star winger to leave even if Al-Ittihad is now firmly on his mind.

Comments from the Liverpool squad strongly hint towards Salah wanting to stay in the Premier League with the Merseyside giants.

However, if Salah has now had his head turned, Liverpool could face a massive problem if Al-Ittihad come in with a world-record transfer offer for the Egyptian international.

With Liverpool showing no sign of allowing Salah to leave, the Reds have to do all they can to reject Al-Ittihad’s approach, with a second bid seemingly on the way this week.
