ESPN pundit shares who’s the bigger threat to Pep Guardiola… Liverpool or Arsenal

Nedum Onuoha has shared his opinions regarding the dangers that Liverpool and Arsenal provide in the Premier League title fight this year.

Despite having played one extra game, Arsenal leads the Reds by five points at the top of the league right now. Manchester City trails Liverpool by one more point.

Even though they are now in third place, City is still the favorite to win the league for a fourth time in a row.

ESPN FC analyst Onuoha, a former player at the Etihad, was questioned about the team that threatens City’s dominance this season and who he is more “scared of.”

“I’m more afraid of who? The former England international stated, “I think Liverpool have a greater potential to win like 10 games in a row this season, whereas I think Arsenal could go 10 games without losing.”

That’s the quality that, in my opinion, Liverpool does possess. So for the time being, I’d have to say them [Liverpool].

Liverpool scaring Onuoha

Liverpool’s chances of winning Arsenal’s match against Luton Town Wednesday night appeared strong with a minute or two remaining.

The Reds would have had the opportunity to take the lead in the league this evening if the Hatters had managed to hold onto their 3-3 lead.

Declan Rice, though, scored to give the Gunners a crucial victory and extend their advantage.

Liverpool shouldn’t be discouraged, though. The truth is that Arsenal doesn’t appear very outstanding, despite their consistent winning streak.

While they still have to go to the Etihad and Anfield, their goalkeeping predicament should give both Liverpool and City encouragement.

Nevertheless, there are many reasons to be concerned about a team that consistently wins despite having poor play. Arsenal will undoubtedly benefit from their previous season’s experience playing relatively near to City.

Onuoha makes a suggestion, though, and it seems like Liverpool could yet elevate themselves. Right now, Arsenal seems to be doing all in its power to win games. Conversely, this Reds club is far from at its best.

Of course, we could be totally mistaken, and Liverpool could demonstrate that as soon as their match against Sheffield United tonight. However, we’re willing to concur with Nedum for the time being on this.
