Liverpool next five games ahead of West Ham clash on Sunday

After week five of the Premier League season, Liverpool are now just one of four teams still unbeaten in the top flight.

I have decided to compare the next five Club Championship matches to see who is most likely to pick up the most points between now and the end of October.

Liverpool v West Ham (Sunday, September 24)

The Hammers go into this weekend’s game after losing to Man City, but they have made a good start to the season.

However, based on their history at Anfield, you’re backing the Liverpool to win. The last time West Ham scored points in this match was in a 3-0 victory in August 2015.

Tottenham v Liverpool (Saturday, September 30)

Spurs have got off to a very good start under new manager Ange Postecoglou, and this is arguably the toughest game to come in the next six weeks.

Brighton v Liverpool (Sunday October 8)

Roberto De Zerbi is performing excellently on the South Coast and a move to Amex has never been easy for Liverpool.

Last season, the Merseyside club lost there twice in the same month, losing both the league match and the FA Cup draw. They will want to ensure history does not repeat itself.

Liverpool v Everton (Saturday October 21)

Merseyside derbies are always very close, but apart from that freak defeat behind closed doors, Liverpool dominated this game at Anfield.

Sean Dyche’s side will cause problems but they lack the quality to pose much of a threat. They will play to a draw and it will be up to the home team to take them down.

Liverpool v Nottingham Forest (Saturday October 29)

Steve Cooper’s team beat Chelsea away from home and also made life difficult for Manchester United and Arsenal. This could be a potential banana peel if Liverpool are not careful. However, their home record against Forest is excellent as their last points were dropped in this match in 1993.

Comparing the next five matches of Man City, Tottenham and Arsenal, it is suggested that the Red Devils can win the most points.

However, it is worth mentioning that Klopp’s side have not lost this match since the infamous 4-1 defeat in 2017.
