Fernandes is a scapegoat

Fernandes hasn’t had the best of seasons after being named club captain, but he is still the first player you be guarantee will run himself into the ground for his teammates.

It’s a shame others don’t follow suit because we would be in a better position if they took his example.

Hopefully, Fernandes is the one lifting the FA Cup in May. That would silence a few critics until they come back out of the woodwork next season.

Bournemouth would restore parity through a well compose strike from Justin Kluivert as the game went to the break with Bournemouth taking the lead.

Manchester united struggled to match Bournemouth pace as the home team look to add more goals to their lead. United were awarded a penalty when 18 year old Mainoo’s strike was deflected into the hand of Adam Smith.

Bruno Fernandes stepped up to calmly dispatch the ball into the back of the net.

During the post match interview, united boss was quoted saying “We are into the final stage of the season and this is not enough. But the truth is today, we didn’t deserve more,”

In the end, if you allow them so many chances in the first half, as a team you don’t deserve more. You have to take control, don’t give chances and score goals for yourself.

United next play Sheffield United at the Old Trafford on the 24th of April, 2024.
