One club are reportedly now hoping to sign a key player from Manchester City within the next week.

Speculation has been mounting over the past few days about transfers both in and out at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola‘s side have not yet done any business. But the expectation is that this will change very soon.

On the incoming front, winger Savio should be announced as a new signing very soon. In terms of exits, a lot of the talk so far this summer has been about Ederson.

He has supposedly given the green light to a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr looking to lure the Brazilian goalkeeper.

Now, one outlet have made an ominous claim about the South American.

When it was first suggested that it was a possibility Ederson could be on his way this summer, fans were quite surprised.

He has been an integral part of Manchester City’s success under Pep.

Ederson is a very unique goalkeeper, with his passing range arguably better than most outfield players. His calmness and composure on the ball help City to build attacks from the back.

He has been a target for clubs in Saudi Arabia for the past couple of months.

But in recent days, that speculation has intensified. And now, TEAMtalk are reporting that Al-Nassr are looking to get this one over the line.

Apparently, they have been in talks to sign both Ederson and Alisson of Liverpool. But Alisson is concerned a move to Saudi would affect his national team standing.

As a result, Ederson is more likely to move there. Talks will commence in the coming days between Al-Nassr and City, and the Saudi club hope to tie up a deal ‘within a week’. Currently, there is no agreement between the two clubs.

Al-Nassr are thought to be unwilling to pay more than £25 million. City are said to be open to selling for less than £40 million.

Ederson exit looks more likely than not

It is very much starting to look like Ederson is going to leave this summer.

The £100,000-a-week ace – described by City youngster Jack Wint as ‘phenomenal’ – has been an absolutely sensational signing for the club, and it does kind of feel as though there isn’t much left for him to do at the club.

He has won all there is to win, and everyone knows about the riches on offer in Saudi.

It would be a major shame to see him go, because he is still at the top of his game and he has been so important to the way City have played.

But he’ll be wished well if he does go, and fans will feel confident that Stefan Ortega can step up as the new number one, which is the expectation according to Fabrizio Romano.
