The club’s ownership group, City Football Group (CFG), released its accounts for 2023-24 last week, showing its losses reached £122.2million to take the cumulative losses to almost £1billion since it was founded in 2013.

Man City could need cash injection after Premier League blow
Borson revealed Man City could need more capital than expected from their owners to strengthen their squad.
He told Football Insider: “I guess the one area where you might say there might be some kind of impact on Manchester City is if the spending that they’re now being required to do on the field because of the underperformance of the team this season is greater than they’d expected.
“Maybe in that scenario, you could argue that there was some unexpected impact on the CFG because MCFC as the key investment within the group may need more capital than was expected.
“Maybe you could argue that that’s an impact. But generally, most of the spend that’s going on in the CFG is anticipated.
“The losses are anticipated and it’s not a short-term play to build a multi-club organisation.
“This is a very ambitious project that’s going to take a long time.”

Man City to accept Jack Grealish offer
Football Insider revealed on 11 March Man City will accept an offer for Jack Grealish in the upcoming transfer window if their reduced asking price is met.
It is believed the 29-year-old is unhappy with his role at the Etihad, having made the £100million move from Aston Villa almost four years ago.

Elsewhere, Football Insider revealed on 3 March Ederson has a “strong possibility” of leaving Man City in the summer after Saudi Pro League clubs have expressed an interest in signing him.
