“Huge’ …. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola makes claims about Chelsea after watching them on Monday

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was really impressed after watching Chelsea produce a comeback win earlier this week at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea picked up three points in the Premier League on Monday night with a 3-1 away victory at Crystal Palace. Thankfully, they responded from a terrible first-half to put things right in the second period.

Next, the Blues have the daunting task of a trip to the Etihad Stadium this Saturday to face in-form giants Manchester City.

Man City are currently on an 11-game winning streak across all competitions, this includes six straight Premier League wins and victory over Copenhagen last night in the Champions League.

However, they were involved in a dramatic 4-4 draw back in November the last time they played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola admits he watched Chelsea a couple of days ago beat Palace.

He claimed Mauricio Pochettino’s side showed “huge personality” in their league victory.

“It’s one game at a time. Now it is Chelsea,” Guardiola said via Man City’s official website.

“They played really well against Aston Villa and yesterday, in the hotel, we watched the game against Crystal Palace.

“They played with huge personality. Now we recover and focus on Chelsea.”

Pep Guardiola hails Chelsea

It’s not the first time Pep’s spoken in glowing terms about Chelsea. In fairness, we always do seem to find another gear or two when we face the best clubs as well.

We’re never quite sure what we’ll get this season from the Blues on a game-to-game basis, but there’s no doubt they’ll need to be at their best to compete with a rampant Man City at the Etihad.

For Chelsea’s players, it’s the last chance to play their way into the starting XI for this month’s Carabao Cup final versus Liverpool.
