Kyle Walker apologies to wife Annie Kilner after fathering two children with Lauryn Goodman

Kyle Walker has apologized to his pregnant wife and said that he needs to “own up to my mistakes” after fathering two children with another woman.

Manchester City and England defender Walker, 33, has been married to Annie Kilner since 2022.

Walker and Kilner met 12 years before their wedding day – when he was just 17.

They now have three children together, with a fourth on the way.

However, Walker also has two children with model and influencer Lauryn Goodman – a son born in 2020 and a daughter born last year.

Walker’s wife took him back after first learning about his affair with Goodman.

However, she then left him after discovering that the affair had continued and that Walker and Goodman had created another child together.

Kilner is now living with her three children, while Walker is staying elsewhere – not with Goodman.

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Walker said last week: “What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility.

“I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried to ask her but there’s pain and hurt.

“The man that’s meant to love, care and be there for her, did this.

“There have been days in this ordeal where I’ve just wanted to curl up in a ball and go to sleep.

“The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I’m aware of and I’ve made stupid choices. But I need to own up to my mistakes – I owe it to everyone.

“My actions have caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I’m sorry because, as a family, this isn’t meant to happen.”

Walker claimed that he was speaking out for the sake of his family.

He added: “I am a private man but I accept that I am a public figure and I need to address what I’ve done.

“It hasn’t helped that it has been played out in the media. But I’ve chosen to speak now in the hope that I can at least explain myself and enable my wife and children to have the privacy they so desperately need and deserve.”

Manchester City have made no comment regarding Walker’s interview with The Sun.

Walker has been City’s captain since August and has started in all 20 of their Premier League matches so far this season.

He also played a key role for City last season when the Manchester club won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

“In football I’ve achieved more than what I ever thought I would achieve,” said Walker. “But to personally hurt what I truly believe is my best friend, that’s what hurts a lot.

“How could I hurt someone I love so much? That’s something I need to find in myself.”

This is not the first time that Walker has apologized via the media for making bad “choices”.

It was reported in 2020 that Walker had breached the UK’s coronavirus lockdown rules by hosting a party with two sex workers.

Walker responded by sending a statement to CNN that read: “I want to take this opportunity to issue a public apology for the choices I made last week which have resulted in a story today about my private life in a tabloid newspaper.

“I understand that my position as a professional footballer brings the responsibility of being a role model. As such, I want to apologise to my family, friends, football club, supporters and the public for letting them down.”
