Liverpool scouts blown away by 26-year-old defender who Pep Guardiola says could play for Man City

Even though the focus is all on Jurgen Klopp at the moment, the club’s scouts still have a job to do. Even more so the summer transfer window will now be extremely crucial for Liverpool.

Whoever the new manager will be, he will want to bring in some of his own players. And he will have his own ideas of how he wants Liverpool to play. That means he will be looking at players who fit his own vision.

Right now, as a scout of the club, that makes your job difficult. Not knowing what the club’s vision is going forward narrows down who you could follow and watch. Although, there is one 26-year-old player who has really impressed the scouts recently according to the latest reports.

Liverpool latest on Tosin Adarabioyo

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have been impressed by the performances of Tosin Adarabioyo in the second-leg of the Reds’ League Cup semi-final against Fulham. Adarabioyo did put in an outstanding performance in that game. He was everywhere, and made Fulham very difficult to breakdown.

The 26-year-old is highly regarded in the game. He came through the ranks at Manchester City, and even played for the club’s first team. During his time at the club, Pep Guardiola even admitted that he was good enough to be a regular in the club’s first team in the future [Sky Sports].

However, in the end, Adarabioyo left for pastures new, and has established himself as a top Premier League defender at Fulham. He would definitely suit Liverpool as well, with his athletic and technical qualities. He’s got the understanding and reading of the game as well to make him a top defender, and he is only just now entering his prime.
