Man City fans buzzing after player Pep Guardiola called ‘incredible’ confirms he will stay next season

Despite their struggles last season, it seems like an exciting time to be a Manchester City fan as Pep Guardiola and Co seem to be taking the right steps to rebuild their squad.
Rayan Cherki has agreed personal terms with Manchester City ahead of a potential move, which is excellent news for the Etihad faithful as he seems tailor-made to succeed Kevin De Bruyne.
Similarly, one of the Premier League’s best left-backs in Rayan Ait-Nouri is set to join Manchester City and the Algerian is expected to undergo his medical on Saturday before his move could be confirmed.
Tijjani Reijnders’ medical is on Sunday as well, a player who could add sublime technical quality, energy and an eye for goal to the Sky Blues midfield.
But as Oscar Bobb confirmed his stay at Manchester City and claimed that he is aware that he can play regular football at the Etihad Stadium, the fans were over the moon.

One Manchester City fan highlighted that Bobb’s admission indicates that he knows how good he is while predicting the Norwegian to become a top player one day, writing: “He is confident in himself. This kid will be among the best, City fans already know what he can do.”
A second supporter nicknamed the 22-year-old ‘Bobbinho’ and claimed that he has no reason to worry about his competition in the City dressing room: “You’re the last guy that needs to worry, Bobbinho. Believe that.”
A third Manchester City fan went as far as to claim that the only right-winger he would take over Oscar Bobb are Michael Olise and Lamine Yamal: “The only right-wingers I’d pick ahead of Bobb are Yamal and Olise.”
Pep Guardiola called Bobb an “incredible threat” and a fourth fan seems to feel the way about the youngster, claiming he would “riot” if he ever left: “If he left, I would riot because when he’s fit, he should be starting over Savio and [Jeremy] Doku. Easily our best winger.”
A fifth City fan admitted he was proud of the Oslo-born attacker, backing him to set the world alight next season: “So proud of Bobb. Last year should’ve been his, but now he can compensate.”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan addressed Bobb by reminding him that he is loved by the Etihad faithful: “Ole, ole, ole, ole, Oscar Bobb Bobb Bobb [Bobb’s chant], you are so loved at City.”

The Manchester City starlet would appreciate the fans’ support, considering they fully back him to come good despite missing almost the entirety of the 2024/2025 season through injury.

Much like the fans, Manchester City rate Bobb very highly and would like him to stay at the club for years to come, as per journalist Dean Jones: “The real intrigue will come in terms of understanding how Man City actually keep this player happy because this guy needs minutes, there’s no doubt about it.”
“There are other teams starting to wonder if he might be available on loan. So far that’s not the case but he is so good I’m actually putting him in that Cole Palmer bracket.”
Jones concluded: “I think City kind of are too, and he’s that good they’re probably scared of losing him and he goes and bangs somewhere else like Cole Palmer has done.”
