Man City Star Advised To ‘Leave’ With Shock Return To Former Club after what happened against Everton
Manchester City winger, Jack Grealish has reportedly been urged to leave the Etihad and make a return to his former club Aston Villa next season.
Following his record £100 million transfer from Premier League rivals Aston Villa prior to the 2021–2022 season, Grealish has found it difficult to live up to expectations at the Etihad.
The 29-year-old has had moments of brilliance, but due to injuries and subpar play, he has steadily fallen down the pecking order at City.
With just two assists in his 18 appearances in all competitions this season, the winger’s poor form has added to Man City’s problems.
According to Football 365, Lee Hendrie, a former Aston Villa player, has stated unequivocally why he should rejoin his hometown team; he “wouldn’t be coming for a payday.”
“It’s at the stage now where Jack should probably be thinking about leaving the football club,” Hendrie said.
“Nobody could deny that the move hasn’t been successful, he’s won everything there is to win during his time there, but I think for himself, he needs to find his enjoyment in playing again.
“He’d be an asset for any top football club. I would love him at Villa, but would they have the finances to bring him back? It would probably be a complicated deal to complete.”
“I know the Villa fans have given him some stick, but I think they would love to see him back at Villa Park. He wouldn’t be coming for a pay day; he’d be coming to win something with Villa and help take the club up a level.”
Man City
Man City fans are convinced Kevin de Bruyne will leave the club come the end of the season after he started on the bench against Everton.
Pep Guardiola’s side saw their dismal run of form continue at the Etihad after an own goal from Jarrad Branthwaite was followed by Illiman Ndiaye’s strike in the first half, before Jordan Pickford saved Erling Haaland’s second-half penalty and the score remained 1-1.
However, City fans had been left questioning the manager’s decision before the game had begun after De Bruyne was left out of the starting XI for the second game in a row.
The midfielder was ultimately brought on in the 75th minute, but failed to impact the game.
Guardiola confirmed that he was left on the bench as he was suffering from an illness – but that has done little to ease fans’ concerns.
This comes as the 33-year-old’s City contract is set to expire at the end of the current season, with no progress having yet been made towards a new deal.

As a result, he will be allowed to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign teams from January onwards to make the move on a free in the summer.
Football Insider revealed in September that talks about a new contract had been put on hold amid growing concerns about his age and fitness.
Now, many supporters are expecting him to make the move away from City in the summer amid interest from sides in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and MLS.
Man City fans convinced Kevin de Bruyne could quit after new twist
Football Insider revealed on 2 November that City are set to step up their efforts to sign a high-profile replacement for De Bruyne ahead of the January window.
This came as a result of growing concerns about the midfielder’s fitness after he was sidelined with a lengthy injury blow at the start of the season.
Now, fans have taken to social media to ask questions about his continued absence, with some suggesting a potential bust-up with Guardiola is the true reason for his lack of minutes.
Decent attack today, hopefully puts us on the front foot from the off.
KDB benched 2 games in a row. Not about fitness. He’ll be off in the summer https://t.co/0ySJH7KbEq

So Kevin De Bruyne and Pep Guardiola have definitely had a row haven’t they? Literally no other reason why you don’t play KDB, he’s not injured anymore and hasn’t been for the last month and a half at this point. #MCIEVE

Clearly, Pep Guardiola has a problem with De Bruyne. By sidelining our most creative player, he’s clearly hurting the team.

This guy is refusing to give any start to Kevin de Bruyne. He is doing the same with KDB what he did with Aguero in his last season. Kevin de Bruyne is 100% leaving. 💔 pic.twitter.com/RKdzjJkwbC
