Manchester City agree New long- term contract with first – team Star

Manchester City has reached an agreement with Oscar Bobb, a 20-year-old forward, on a new long-term contract following his breakout season. The Norwegian player is poised to sign an extension at the Etihad Stadium after a successful debut campaign with the Manchester City first-team squad. Bobb has already appeared in 16 matches for the team this season, making his debut against Fulham in September and earning his first senior international cap for Norway in October.

During a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Newcastle United, Bobb scored his first Premier League goal, and he also netted his first UEFA Champions League goal in a 3-2 win against Red Star Belgrade in December. He received his first Premier League start from manager Pep Guardiola in a 1-0 win over Brentford, with Erling Haaland scoring the decisive goal.

Promoted to the first-team after an impressive season with the Under-23s, Bobb was the subject of transfer offers last summer but the club rejected them, opting to keep him and explore loan options. According to reports by Mike McGrath, Bobb has now agreed to a new long-term contract with the team after weeks of negotiations. The new deal will include a substantial pay increase, as his current contract runs until 2026.

In addition to Bobb, Manchester City is also in talks with Haaland and goalkeeper Ederson regarding contract extensions. Recent contract extensions with Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, and Rico Lewis show the club’s commitment to securing their key players for the future.
