Manchester City return to training ahead of clash with Fulham
Manchester City returned to training yesterday ahead of this weekend’s crucial clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage. Pep Guardiola’s side know that they need three more wins to secure a fourth consecutive Premier League title. Ahead of Saturday’s must win game the world champions have begun their preparations for the penultimate stage of the season.
Following their 5-1 win over Wolves last Saturday, Pep Guardiola gave the Manchester City squad three days off. It gave the players a chance to rest and refresh before they face three games over the next week that will define their season. Three wins over Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham will secure City a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League title. Any slip ups will allow Arsenal the chance to seize the initiative in the title race.
In images shared via the official Manchester City X account , the City squad appeared in a jovial mood after their rest. While the task at hand is a pressure filled one given what’s at stake, the City squad appeared relaxed ahead of what lies ahead. It is a good sign heading into this weekend’s clash with Fulham. The champions will be hoping to carry their good form from last weekend into the week ahead.

There also appeared to be good news on the injury front for Manchester City. CityXtra reported that the entire City first team squad returned to training yesterday. Oscar Bobb wasn’t in the squad for City’s win over Wolves last weekend. But the young Norwegian international trained yesterday, meaning Pep Guardiola has a full compliment of players to pick from for Saturday’s match at Craven Cottage.
Manchester City appears well placed for what lies ahead during the next week. With a full strength squad available, they will take on Fulham in a good mood and with good health based on reports from City training yesterday.
