‘One thing I do say’…Kyle Walker shares his honest opinion on Liverpool fans

Liverpool host Manchester City tomorrow in what many are bigging up as the biggest game of the Premier League season so far.

A win for Liverpool would do wonders for Jurgen Klopp’s side and give them a four point cushion over Pep Guardiola’s side. On the other side, a win for City puts them above Liverpool and in pole position heading into the final run in.

Of course, one of the key players for City going to Anfield will be defender, Kyle Walker. The England star is one of the most decorated players in the Premier League but remarkably, admitted he’d never won at Anfield.

And when pressed by Rio Ferdinand on what makes Anfield such a difficult place to go to, Walker admitted that the fans do play a part in that.

“Listen, they’ve had some good players haven’t they. And I think the fans are incredible. That’s one thing I do say, the fans are really really good. But just never won,” Walker said on FIVE.

Kyle Walker will be desperate to beat Liverpool

At 33 and with every honour under his belt, winning at Liverpool will definitely eat away at a player like Kyle Walker.

Given his success in the game and now given his age, he’ll be hoping to get the monkey off his back and hope to finally pick that win up at Anfield.

This weekend is actually a realistic chance. With no Alisson in the Liverpool goal, City will surely fancy their chances of getting a few goals and then shutting up shop at the back.

For Walker, he’ll see this a golden chance to finally get this one on his CV.

His comments on the Liverpool fans are interesting though. Often the Reds fans are given a hard time but clearly, one of the top players in the game saying they are brilliant is the ultimate compliment.
