SPORT Champions League: His impact has been massive – Guardiola hails Real Madrid star

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has hailed Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham, insisting that his impact at Carlo Ancelotti’s side so far this season has been massive.

According to Guardiola, Bellingham ‘s influence at Real Madrid is obvious, adding that Man City will have to find a way to control it when both teams clash in the Champions League quarter-final next month.

Guardiola spoke at his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of his side’s FA Cup quarter-final tie with Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Spainaird said of Bellingham: “His impact has been massive.

“It’s a different team from last season. His influence is obvious, and we have to try to discover what he does to control it.”

Bellingham has been impressive for Madrid since joining the La Liga leaders from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Jamie Carragher has already

suggested who will win FA Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Man City

Chelsea will take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley next month.

They booked their ticket into the next round of the competition yesterday after beating Leicester City 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have actually done quite well against City this season, drawing 4-4 with them at home before earning another point at the Etihad following a 1-1 draw there. Nevertheless, it does not look like Jamie Carragher is giving them a chance after a recent post on X.

In response to a post Rio Ferdinand shared, with Manchester United also booking their ticket for the semi-finals after beating Liverpool, Carragher told his former England team-mate to “relax” because City are going to beat the Red Devils easily in the final.

If Chelsea play how they did yesterday against City in the semis, then the Liverpool legend may have a point. The Blues produced some absolutely crazy moments at times, from Axel Disasi’s own goal to Raheem Sterling’s dreadful free-kick.

Chelsea can beat Manchester City at Wembley

City will obviously go into the game as favourites — most will be expecting the Premier League and European champions to win the whole thing — but you should not write off Chelsea just yet.

While Mauricio Pochettino‘s men have really struggled in the top flight this season, currently sitting 11th in the table, they have done well in the cup competitions and put in some good performances against the country’s bigger sides like City.

In fact, they almost beat the Citizens at the Etihad last month, with a Rodri strike in the 83rd minute denying them of all three points.

There could be a lot of rotation from Pep Guardiola as well with his side still competing in other competitions, while the FA Cup is now the only thing really for Chelsea to play for. You would still expect City to go through, but it is not impossible for the Blues to spring a surprise at Wembley.,
