“His brain. The way he sees the game. I think we mentioned it one time here that at times, he’s so demanding with himself. That can bring him places or overthinking about what happens and if someone doesn’t make the right pass, that can upset him for a little while on a big part of the game”, he said about the Manchester City legend on CBS Sports (via YouTube).

“Again, I will mention his brain because Kevin De Bruyne, right now, physically, he’s maybe not at his best. But his brain is pretty quick. You don’t need to run when you have a brain.”
Kevin De Bruyne is a perfectionist, like every great of the game
It is unsurprising to hear how much of a perfectionist Kevin De Bruyne is, as Thierry Henry revealed.
The fact that a misplaced pass can lead to De Bruyne becoming livid just showcases how the devil is in the details for him.
It seems like beyond winning or losing, the treble-winner takes pride in playing the game in a certain manner.
However, the same can be said about other greats of the game, who are known to be rather obsessive about the minutest of details.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s name instantly springs to mind, as beyond his much-publicised work ethic, even while watching him for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, he too would often be visibly frustrated if his teammate made an incorrect decision on the pitch.
Such legendary players do not seem to take such errors lightly as they are chasing perfection at all times.
Kevin De Bruyne is no different in this respect and that is perhaps why he has gone on to have the enviable career at the highest possible level for years on end.
Thierry Henry, who was an elite performer during his playing days can perhaps relate to the Manchester City legend about this very aspect.
