🚨🆕️‼️ Manchester United Wait for Šeško Decision Amid Verbal Interest.
Manchester United have yet to submit a formal written offer for Benjamin Šeško, despite expressing a clear verbal interest in securing the RB Leipzig striker. According to multiple sources, the club has made it known they are prepared to meet Leipzig’s valuation, but are currently holding off on formalising a bid pending the player’s final decision.
RB Leipzig have already received a €75 million plus €5 million in add-ons offer from Newcastle United. While that package has been deemed not quite sufficient by Leipzig, it provides a solid foundation for negotiations moving forward. The Bundesliga side are reportedly expecting a total deal in excess of €80 million to part ways with the 21-year-old Slovenian talent.
At this point, the next step hinges on Šeško himself. The striker’s decision is considered pivotal, as both Manchester United and Newcastle await clarity. Leipzig are open to a sale if the price is right and the player gives the green light.
Šeško has impressed Leipzig hierarchy with his rapid development and physical attributes, and he’s seen as one of Europe’s most promising young strikers. However, with Leipzig already bringing in attacking reinforcements, they are prepared to cash in on the forward — provided the financial terms meet expectations.
Manchester United, under the leadership of Rúben Amorim, view Šeško as a long-term solution to their striker needs. A move would likely see Rasmus Højlund face stiffer competition for the central role, or possibly spark an internal reshuffle.
As the transfer window progresses, attention will now turn to Šeško’s camp — with a decision expected shortly. United are poised, but must wait patiently before launching their official move.
