🚨💣 BREAKING: Jadon Sancho’s long-anticipated exit from Manchester United remains very much alive, with the club holding firm on their £25 million asking price.
The 24-year-old winger, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, has been a prime target for Serie A giants Juventus and AS Roma this summer. However, while Roma’s interest is concrete, Juventus’ pursuit is complicated by their need to free up funds and squad space.
Sources close to the negotiations reveal that Juventus’ move for Sancho depends heavily on the departure of Nico González, whose sale would release the wage budget required to complete the deal. The Turin side have already reached a personal agreement with Sancho — a contract running until 2029, reportedly worth €6 million per year — underlining the player’s willingness to embark on a fresh chapter in Italy.
For Manchester United, this is as much a financial decision as a sporting one. Sancho has been out of Erik ten Hag’s plans since their public fallout early last season, and the club is keen to move him on permanently to avoid another loan scenario. The £25m fee would provide both transfer funds and relief on the wage bill, making it a win-win for the Old Trafford hierarchy.
Roma, meanwhile, view Sancho as a marquee signing who could inject pace and creativity into their attack. With Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham already in their ranks, the addition of Sancho could transform their forward options.
The coming days are set to be decisive. If Juventus can offload González quickly, they may steal a march on Roma. But until then, the race for Sancho’s signature remains open — with United ready to cash in if the right offer lands on the table.
