BREAKING NEWS: INEOS are pushing hard to finalise a ยฃ130m double swoop as Manchester United aim to secure two marquee signings before the transfer window slams shut.
According to fresh reports, Unitedโs top targets remain Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba and PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the club accelerating talks to bring both players to Old Trafford.
United, under the new INEOS-led football structure, view Baleba as the ideal midfield anchor to complement Rubรฉn Amorimโs tactical system. The 20-year-old Cameroonian has impressed in the Premier League with his composure on the ball, athleticism, and ability to break up play. United are reportedly preparing an official bid in the region of ยฃ50m, with the player himself keen on the move after holding positive talks with his representatives.
Meanwhile, Donnarumma is seen as the long-term solution between the sticks following uncertainty over Unitedโs goalkeeping department. The Italian international, still only 26, has already won a European Championship and brings vast Champions League experience. PSG are open to negotiations for around ยฃ80m, and personal terms are not expected to be a major stumbling block.
Intriguingly, United have been tipped to gain an advantage over rivals Manchester City in the Baleba pursuit. Sources close to the player suggest he has been advised that a move to Old Trafford would guarantee more game time and a central role in the teamโs rebuild, something City cannot fully promise given their current midfield depth.
INEOS want both deals wrapped up swiftly to avoid late-window competition and to give Amorim a full-strength squad heading into the new campaign. If successful, the arrivals of Baleba and Donnarumma would represent a significant statement of intent, signalling that Manchester United are serious about challenging for silverware this
season.
