Man Utd are ‘ever closer’ to Dutch striker, Joshua Zirkzee, as per the latest rumors reported in the Italian media today.
According to a story published by Corriere dello Sport, Bologna have given an ultimatum to the center forward.
The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that the Rossoblu want to avoid what happened with coach, Thiago Motta, and are already thinking about a replacement.
They have told the 23-year-old he needs to convey his final decision regarding a transfer by the end of this week.
CorSport claim Man Utd are ‘ever closer’ to Zirkzee and are ready to sign the player by paying £46m, inclusive of transfer fees and agent commission, ‘without any problem’.

To replace the Netherlands forward, Bologna have targeted the arrival of Greek striker, Foris Ioannidis, from Panathinaikos.
It is stated that if technical director, Giovanni Sartori, signs a forward and two days later, Zirkzee says he wants to stay, then it would be a problem for Bologna.

Former midfielder Frank Lampard insists that England not having Luke Shaw available has been a “big deal” for Gareth Southgate at Euro 2024.
Although England progressed through to the knockout stage as winners of Group C, Southgate’s squad have yet to spark after successive draws following a hard-earned 1-0 win over Serbia.
With Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon all having impressed when coming off the bench during the second half of the stalemate against Slovenia on Tuesday night, Southgate appears to be weighing up his options ahead of Sunday’s last-16 tie against Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen.
One player who hasn’t been available to the England boss so far is Manchester United left-back Shaw with the 28-year-old still getting up to full fitness after Southgate took a risk by including him.
England have struggled to threaten down that left-hand side without a naturally left-footed player starting there, with Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier playing out of position on that side.
And former England and Chelsea midfielder Lampard reckons Shaw is the player who England have missed the most at Euro 2024.
Lampard said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Not having a natural left-sided left-back has been a big deal for him because that felt really good to me watching the last tournaments when Luke Shaw was there.
“Luke Shaw was much more offensive on that side of the pitch and we could have a balance where Kyle Walker could stay more and create this three at the back.
“And then you would have the two and get the offensive players between the lines with the threat on the left-hand side.
“We’ve lacked that and that’s a problem that he’s going to want to solve.”
Lampard added: “I think you can probably get away with right-footed centre-backs on both sides if the left-sider is comfortable enough that they can make the right pass.
“I think Marc Guehi is to be fair, I know Marc well, and he can certainly find the right time to play into midfield or out to a full-back.
“I think Trippier is a fantastic player who has shown that for club and country but you’re just asking different attributes to players.
“People might say, ‘You’re just talking about a left-back’, but in the modern day when we’re watching how the German team play and both full-backs are so advanced, their style, how they play. It’s important you get those bits right.
“Those small details are massively important so it’s obviously something that has come upon Gareth. He’s tried to get Luke Shaw fit, obviously that’s not quite happening at the minute.
“But it’s not just as simple as saying, ‘That’s just one player’, as that affects the whole balance of the team.
“Maybe then it’s about what the other solution is. Can we get some more real high attacking width on that side that stays wide. That maybe gives you more dynamic runs in behind. I think that’s certainly something he might look at.”
Marc Guehi has been one of the bright sparks for England at this tournament with the former Chelsea defender – who currently plays for Crystal Palace – looking comfortable at international level for most of the Three Lions’ opening three matches.
Lampard continued: “I’m delighted for him. I gave him his debut at Chelsea. He’s a really polite, humble lad.
“You could see that he had all the attributes that could take him a long way, particularly the personality. He wanted to do well.
“I really liked the idea of working with him at that time because when a young kid comes through with that humility and wants to do well, that’s an amazing to work with as a coach.
“But to go away and play as he played at Palace and to come into an England squad with the high pressure of playing. Everyone’s going, ‘Oh, we’re not sure!’, but he’s now one position we’re not talking about which is an amazing achievement from him.”

Marcus Rashford is reportedly ‘open’ to joining Paris Saint-Germain, with a move away from Manchester United potentially on the cards this summer.
The England international endured a poor season with the Red Devils last season, scoring seven goals and registering two assists in 33 Premier League performances.
Rashford’s lacklustre performances prompted calls for him to be replaced on the left wing by younger options, such as Amad Diallo, but Erik ten Hag stood by his No. 10 for the entirety of the campaign.
However, the 26-year-old may opt against repaying the faith of his manager by moving away from Old Trafford, amid interest from PSG.
According to HITC, the Ligue 1 outfit are expected to reignite their interest in Rashford as they look to bring in suitable replacements for Kylian Mbappe ahead of next season, and the forward is ‘open’ to heading to the Parc des Princes this summer.
United are prepared to offload their academy product over the coming months after being left surprised by how his form nosedived last season, with the forward’s off-field antics also being raised as an ongoing issue.
Saudi Pro League outfits have therefore been alerted to the situation, as well as PSG, but Rashford is not keen to head to the Middle East and firmly favours a move to Paris instead.
Luis Enrique’s side are yet to open talks over a deal as it stands, with the higher powers at the club waiting for encouragement from both United and Rashford before tabling an offer to ensure that the foundations are laid for an agreement to be reached.
The fee which the Red Devils will demand for Rashford is yet to emerge, though Sir Jim Ratcliffe may be keen to negotiate a deal for one of his club’s highest earners given that the INEOS chief is keen to orchestrate a rebuild of his own.
United are hoping to bolster their ranks at both ends of the pitch ahead of next season, with signing at least one central defender viewed as a priority at the Theatre of Dreams.
Ten Hag has also made it clear that he hopes to acquire the services of a striker who can compete with Rasmus Hojlund for the No. 9 spot in his starting eleven.

New Napoli boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that reported Manchester United striker target Victor Osimhen is on track to get a transfer this summer.
United’s interest in Osimhen can be traced as far back as last summer when he and Harry Kane were Erik ten Hag’s top two picks for the number nine position.
Needless to say, a deal never got over the line. This was partly due to Napoli’s excessive asking price and also the player’s own reluctance to leave the Diego Armando Stadium after playing a crucial role in their sensational 2022/23 campaign that saw them win the Scudetto.
Last term, Osimhen saw his numbers in front of goal take a nosedive as Napoli struggled to replicate their fine performances.
The Nigerian superstar managed 15 goals and three assists in 25 Serie A appearances.
United are believed to have maintained their admiration for Osimhen and considering the Red Devils are in the market for a reliable talisman to support young Rasmus Hojlund, links to the Napoli man have resurfaced.
A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Erik ten Hag’s side are prepared to include Mason Greenwood as a makeweight in any deal to lure Osimhen to Old Trafford.
If United are indeed keen on landing the 25-year-old, then Conte’s recent comments will give them plenty of encouragement in their pursuit.
Conte spoke to the media for the first time since his appointment as Napoli head coach and explained that while he has assurances that the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Frank Anguissa and Stanislav Lobotka will not be sold, he could not say the same about Osimhen.
The former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss remarked, “As far as Osimhen is concerned, just as I knew very well about the situation of Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, on which I have placed an absolute veto.”
“Having said that, I know what the situation is regarding Osimhen. I know that there are agreements, that it is a situation different from all the others. I can only assist.”
“He is a player of the highest level, exceptional, but I cannot enter into any discussion because it is part of previous agreements which have been clearly stated to me.”
Journalist Aurelio Capaldi also spoke on Duncan Castles’ podcast and admitted that Osimhen is indeed likely to seek a new adventure away from Naples.
Capaldi pointed out, “The most probable destination for Romelu Lukaku is Napoli because Antonio Conte wants him, they have a very good relationship. And they’re talking about OSimhen, when Conte signed for Napoli he already knew Osimhen would go.”
“Aurelio de Laurentiis immediately said to him Osimhen, it had already been arranged that he would leave Napoli, so they couldn’t count on him and Conte immediately asked for Lukaku.”
Whether United swoop in for Osimhen will almost certainly depend on his price tag. During a window in which the 20-time English champions need to be prudent in their spending to avoid breaching PSR regulations, they’re unlikely to be in a position to fork out big money on just one star.
