Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford speaks out on team’s struggles after being accused of listless performances

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has given an interview to Premier League Productions (h/t Mirror) as the striker faces serious allegations of not fully committing to the team.

The 25-year-old is in his ninth season as a first-team player for the Red Devils and has fully established himself.

The England international told Premier League Productions (h/t Mirror) of the importance of a good result and the consistency that can come from it. He said:

“A good result, a good performance, can change the rules of the game in this club. It’s a difficult position and I’m not as happy as I would like, but there is only one way to regain this happiness, by fighting for results. We know the effect a win can have on the team and then it’s up to the players to show consistency. This is what we were missing.”

Former England player Stuart Pearce criticized Rashford after United’s 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Pearce said the 25-year-old walks back like he “has a refrigerator on his back.”

The former Nottingham Forest player criticized the rest of the United squad for giving up too easily. Pearce went on to say that United were off target and were lucky that Bayern were not clinical enough. Ezoic

Former United defender Paul Parker was also highly critical of Rashford’s disappointing contribution and team effort.

We believe that Rashford relies too much on cutting inside from the left flank to shoot, making him predictable for the opponent. The Englishman can also do more without the ball if the team needs him to return. Let’s hope Rashford contributes to his game by accepting this criticism constructively and also regaining his goalscoring form.
