BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly stunned by a recent reduction in his wages

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly stunned by a recent reduction in his wage

Despite criticism over his performances, the club is said to have placed a high valuation on him, making it clear they are not willing to accept a lower transfer fee. Financial constraints reportedly mean United cannot afford to sell Onana for anything less than their set price.

Amorim Set To Show Man United Star The Exit Door Ahead Of Summer Window

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has reportedly decided to axe Andre Onana with the club looking to move him on ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United’s recent defeat against Newcastle United underlined how much efforts is needed from Ruben Amorim to turn around the fortunes of the club.

With only a few weeks left in the Premier League, the Red Devils are in 14th place and are having difficulty breaking into the top ten.

Andre Onana’s lackluster performance against Lyon in the Europa League led Amorim to bench him against Newcastle on Sunday.

According to a recent report, the Portuguese manager may show the former Inter Milan and Ajax goalie the exit door in the summer.

As Fichajes claims, Amorim is set for a summer clear-out and Man United are prepared to let go of Onana this summer.

The club believe that it’s time to replace Onana because his performances are not getting any better.

After making two errors against Lyon in the first leg of their quarterfinal match, the 29-year-old, who has made 43 appearances for the team this season, has cost them important points and may be the reason they will be eliminated from Europe this year.

According to the source, United are willing to consider bids for the player. But there are significant concerns about other teams’ willingness to cover Onana’s high wages.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a surprise move to sign former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the upcoming summer transfer window, amid growing uncertainty surrounding current No. 1 Andre Onana.

According to reports from The Sun, the Red Devils have identified Ramsdale as a prime target as they look to revamp their goalkeeping department following a turbulent season. Ramsdale, who currently plays for Southampton, could be on his way out after the Saints’ relegation from the Premier League was confirmed earlier this month.

The England international was signed by Southampton from Arsenal last summer for a fee of around £25 million, but the south coast club’s struggles in the top flight have triggered speculation about an early exit. Despite his relegation woes, Ramsdale remains highly regarded for his Premier League experience and shot-stopping abilities.

Manchester United’s interest comes at a time when confidence in Andre Onana is rapidly waning. The Cameroonian goalkeeper has endured a difficult debut season since arriving from Inter Milan for a reported £44 million. Onana was recently dropped by head coach Ruben Amorim after a string of errors, including a poor showing against Lyon in the Europa League. Backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir failed to impress in Onana’s absence during a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United, leaving Amorim with a major selection headache.

With Onana’s future at the club in doubt and Bayindir yet to prove himself, United are said to be weighing their options carefully. Ramsdale, 26, is believed to be open to a return to a top-six Premier League side, especially as he looks to reclaim a spot in the England national team setup.

However, the Red Devils may face competition from West Ham United, with reports suggesting manager Graham Potter is also interested in the Southampton shot-stopper. Overseas clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation as well, though Ramsdale’s preference is believed to be staying in England.

Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen as a possible alternative. The Dutch international has impressed this season, but Brighton are unlikely to sell unless they receive a bid in excess of £34 million.
