Bruno Fernandes’ wife captures moment when the United captain gets announced for Portugal’s EURO 2024 squad
Portugal manager Roberto Martínez earlier in the day announced his Seleção pick for UEFA Euro 2024.
One of the unsurprising picks for the squad was Man United captain, Bruno Fernandes, who found out about his selection at home with his family.
The moment was captured on camera by his wife, Ana Pinho, who later put the clip out on Instagram.

Despite his side’s spectacularly mediocre season, the 29-year-old has had a decent individual campaign, having produced 15 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances for United across all competitions.
Fernandes has also been reported in recent weeks to be wanting a move away from Old Trafford.
For now, he will be expected to lead Man United out onto the Wembley pitch on Saturday against Man City in the FA Cup final.
Impossible to not pick Bruno right now
It is hardly a surprise that Fernandes has been picked for the Euros squad.
What is important to keep in mind for the Old Trafford faithful, however, is that when he leaves the Portugal setup after the Euros, he may never been seen in a United shirt again.
The club are looking for a hard reset next season and generate funds for not only player acquisition but also to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
While the new sporting ownership at the club will want Fernandes to stay, if he does strongly yearn for a move away, they may be inclined to sell what is one of their most sellable assets at the moment.
