Fee agreed: Manchester United are set to meet player privately for a personal terms and transfer

On Thursday, Sporx stated Manchester United have made an offer for Fenerbahçe’s Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

The Red Devils are set to battle it out with Brighton & Hove Albion for the left-back this summer.

Fotospor today report on Manchester United’s efforts to try and bring the 24-year-old to Old Trafford.

The Yellow Canaries have been negotiating a €35m deal with Brighton. The report says the Seagulls could raise their offer to €40m to secure the defender’s services.

Erik ten Hag’s side are trying to beat their Premier League counterpart in the race to sign the Turkey international. They are set to have a ‘private’ meeting with the fullback, likely to make a pitch to convince him.

At the same time, Manchester United will ‘almost certainly’ approach the Turkish club with an improved offer. There’s no mention of the amount they are willing to pay.

Fenerbahçe have failed to qualify for the Champions League this season. Therefore, their president, Ali Koç, is willing to sell the player in this window. José Mourinho has been keen on retaining the left-back, but Koç will convince the manager.

Kadıoğlu, for his part, is open to joining both Manchester United and Brighton. Whether the Red Devils are really in the mix or just used to pressure Brighton remains to be seen

Man United host Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday night as the Red Devils open up their Premier League campaign and Erik ten Hag has hinted before the game that more signings could arrive at the Manchester club.

The Premier League giants finished eighth in the English top flight last season – their lowest ever in the Premier League era – and Ten Hag doesn’t want a repeat of that throughout the 2024/25 campaign.

Man United have brought in numerous stars this summer with Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui joining Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee at Old Trafford this week.

When asked by Man United legend Roy Keane on Sky Sports before the Fulham match if the Manchester club were finished signing players, Ten Hag hinted that more incomings could be on the way.

“We can’t stand still,” said the Dutch coach. “It depends on what happens in the market but I’m happy with the squad. I’m quite confident coming into the season.”
