Tom Huddlestone has announced his departure from Manchester United this summer having never played a senior game.
Huddlestone was a shock free signing in 2022 after his contract at Hull City expired, joining United’s Under-21s.

The midfielder was hired as a player-coach for the Under-21s, where he played 24 times over two years as an experienced head among the club’s talented young stars.

However, the former Tottenham star never made a single appearance for the senior side and has now announced that he will leave the club for good.
Writing on social media, the 37-year-old said: “Today marks my final days at this incredible football club.

“Over the past two seasons, I have experienced remarkable growth and invaluable learning, both on and off the pitch.

Whether Huddlestone will retire as a player for good and concentrate on coaching remains to be seen after his stint at Old Trafford.
The former England international started his career out at Derby County before signing for Tottenham in 2005, where he played for eight years.
He then signed for Hull City for four years before returning to Derby in 2017, playing for three years and then re-joining the Tigers for a year.
