“He’s like a twins to me and he knows when and where to pass ball…I can’t wait to see him here”: Alejandro Garnacho express his feelings about 23-year old striker joining Man United as personal terms already agreed

The future of Joshua Zirkzee is up in the air and Man Utd have the edge over their rivals to secure the signing of the Dutch international.

As per today’s version of Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils, AC Milan and Juventus are pushing to lure the Netherlands forward.

The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that out of all the suitors, to date, only Man Utd are ready to agree the fee of £33.7m and also pay the agent commission of £12.7m, without any problem, to secure Zirkzee.

The striker’s rep, Kia Joorabchian, would prefer to take the player to Old Trafford as he would be able to earn more.

However, CorSport claim Kia would have to hurt Zirkzee to take him to Man Utd.

The 23-year-old striker has told his rep that he would like to stay in Italy for another season. Secondly, he does not want to face ‘ruthless competition’ in the Premier League.

At Old Trafford, Danish international, Rasmus Hojlund, is the first choice center forward and Zirkzee will have to fight with him for a place in the starting XI under Ten Hag.

Corriere dello Sport claim Bologna are hoping to keep the player by bringing his younger brother, Jordan, to the club.

Moreover, even his father is pushing him to stay with the Rossoblu. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds and will keep you updated.

“Do whatever it takes to sign him because he’s the only player who has what Man United is currently lacking”: ‘Get him in’: Rio Ferdinand reacts to Man United close in on Dutchman transfer, names one Man United player who’ll greatly benefit

Manchester United are keeping Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford and he may soon have a new face added to his coaching staff.

After months of speculation, Erik ten Hag’s future has been settled.

Ineos have decided to keep hold of Ten Hag with Sir Jim Ratcliffe handing the Dutchman a chance to improve next season.

Ten Hag and United struggled for large spells last season but did end the campaign with an FA Cup final victory.

United fans have thrown their support behind Ten Hag and Ineos are happy to give him a chance to right the wrongs from last term.

There could be changes to the coaching staff though and one familiar face looks set to return to Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand on Ruud van Nistelrooy

United brought Steve McClaren back to the club in 2022, reuniting him with Ten Hag having previously worked together at FC Twente.

That move certainly made sense given his ties to Ten Hag and another former United man looks set to return.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is being lined up for a spot on Ten Hag’s coaching staff, more than a year since resigning as PSV Eindhoven boss.

A United hero from his playing days with 150 goals in 219 appearances, Van Nistelrooy was an absolute goal machine at Old Trafford.

Now looking to get back into coaching, Van Nistelrooy is being lined up for an emotional return to United.

The move has certainly caused excitement for United supporters, who would love to see Van Nistelrooy come back to the club.

Former United defender Rio Ferdinand – who played alongside Van Nistelrooy – has now shared his verdict on the move.

Speaking on FIVE, pundit Ferdinand admitted that he would bring Van Nistelrooy into the club as soon as possible.

Ferdinand believes that Van Nistelrooy’s knowledge of how to play as a centre forward – particularly in terms of scoring goals – is perfect for Rasmus Hojlund’s development.

The Dane is talented but raw and could really benefit from a one-time goalscoring machine in Van Nistelrooy.

Ferdinand even joked that he would actually use Van Nistelrooy as a player, believing that he could still show United attackers a thing or two about scoring goals.

“Big shout – get him in ASAP,” said Ferdinand. “I would play him as well. I would bring him in just to show Hojlund how to play. Just to coach Hojlund individually, coach our forward players. If Ruud van Nistelrooy is on the table to come to this club, you bring him in and just for one purpose. I don’t care what else he can do – show these man how to score, show these man how to move in the box, show the wide players what a number nine wants and needs,” he added.

Reports suggested that United had made an approach to land Van Nistelrooy as he was considering a move to become a manager elsewhere.

Burnley are keen to appoint Van Nistelrooy as their new boss, leaving him with man interesting decision over a return to United.

Further claims from the Netherlands on Monday suggested that Van Nistelrooy is set to pick a return to United over a move to Burnley.

Reports indicate that Ineos want Ten Hag to sign a new contract before finalising the Van Nistelrooy deal, but everything seems to be moving in the right direction.

Hojlund should be relishing the chance to learn from Van Nistelrooy and his expertise in the final third should be a dream come true for United’s attacking players.

So, at long last we know that Erik ten Hag will be staying as the Manchester United manager. Finally, the Red Devils can begin preparing for a hugely important transfer window.

It will be the first of the new ownership with INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe getting ready to splash the cash.

However, they won’t be wildly throwing around their money like in previous regimes. United will likely need to sell a few players before that happens.

As a result, it could well stump their bid to bring in Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite. An offer has already been lodged for his services but it fell someway short of the Toffees’ valuation.

Subsequently, shrewd buys could be the order of the day at Old Trafford. Here’s one they could make…

Man United looking to sign Euro 2024 striker

The primary name doing the rounds at the moment has been Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee. Some reports have even suggested that they’re closing in on a move for the Dutchman.

However, if that swoop doesn’t progress further then they have another rather surprising ace up their sleeve.

Indeed, according to reports in Turkey, via Sport Witness, the club are looking at signing Alvaro Morata.

The former Chelsea striker is currently captaining a rather impressive-looking Spain side at Euro 2024 and has become an option for a few sides this summer.

The report states that United, alongside Roma, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Fenerbahce are all interested and have held talks with the player’s agent over a potential move.

The player earns a considerable wage of £220k-per-week at current outfit Atletico Madrid but does have a bargain release clause of £10m.

How Alvaro Morata compares to Ramus Hojlund

Yes, we know what you’re thinking. Surely not? Probably not.

Morata has been one of the most marmite centre forwards of recent times, notably for his Romelu Lukaku-like ability to squander several golden opportunities in front of goal.

He became the subject of much criticism for this during his time in England with Chelsea, a spell where the Spaniard scored just 24 goals in 72 outings.

That has rather been the story of the 31-year-old’s career wherever he has been. He’s also attracted plenty of criticism when playing for his country.

Speaking during Euro 2020, Gary Neville stated: “He’s got that vulnerable look about him, almost like he needs a cuddle. And he looks like when he misses a chance, he’s fearing what the media and what the press and what his team-mates might say.”

Well, Morata has bounced back pretty well. Now the figurehead of Spain at Euro 2024, he has already found the net, cooly sliding the ball home against Croatia.

So, would he actually be a good signing? Well, it’s difficult to tell. That said, United need a striker and in the Spanish star, they’d be getting someone with experience of English football and someone who can find the net.

Last season he scored 21 goals in 48 matches for Atleti, 15 of which came in LaLiga. That’s certainly not a bad tally and it does better Rasmus Hojlund who scored 16 times in all competitions.

“HERE WE GO!…His medical is completed but he’ll join after the Euro”: Fabrizio Romano confirms Man United has signed a versatile striker who Erling Haaland openly admit he’s better than him

Manchester United have started the summer transfer window with an aim to address their defence as well as their attack.

United have already submitted a bid for Jarrad Branthwaite and it remains to be seen if they will make an improved offer after Everton turned down their opening offer. There is a solid chance United could explore other options should Everton refuse to budge.

The Red Devils have also reportedly made an approach for Joshua Zirkzee. However, the suitors of the Bologna striker face the challenge of meeting staggering demands of his agent, Kia Joorabchian.

United are in the market for a quality striker capable of challenging Rasmus Højlund for the starting spot in Erik ten Hag’s squad.

While Zirkzee is certainly a top prospect, it remains unclear how open the Premier League giants are to pay a huge commission on top of his £34m release clause.

INEOS, however, are not just focused on Zirkzee and could explore other options, including Ivan Toney.

During the latest episode of the Debrief podcast, Fabrizio Romano addressed Red Billy’s question about why there have been so few rumours about the 28-year-old.

The Italian transfer expert said: “I think because of the Euros. I don’t think anything will happen before the end of the Euros for Ivan Toney. Also because he is 100 per cent focused on the English national team.”

He continued: “Also Brentford wait to see what happens in terms of proposal, but at the moment nothing is concrete on the table yet.”

Romano also revealed that many clubs are waiting to see how the situation unfolds and “around July, August things could happen” for the talented striker.
