Despite losing two of their first three Premier League matches, Manchester United have reasons to be optimistic about their summer transfer business.

Manuel Ugarte joined from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day, joining Sekou Kone in completing a late switch. The late double swoop followed earlier moves for Joshua Zirzkee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
United also offloaded plenty of players, some for fees and others when their contracts expired. Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial were in the latter camp, with Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka among those in the former.
There might be more business to take care of before the window shuts for teams in other leagues, though. That’s one of the areas in focus as Mirror Football brings you the latest from around Old Trafford.
Clubs in the Turkish Super Lig have until September 13 to make final additions to their squads, prompting links with out-of-favour Premier League stars. One such player is United midfielder Casemiro, who endured a tough time against Liverpool in the last league game.
The Brazilian has dropped further down the pecking order following Ugarte’s August arrival, and United could end up cutting their losses on the £60m signing from Real Madrid. Galatasaray are thought to be keen, with The Times indicating he remains on their radar.
Galatasaray have cleared space in their squad, with Portugal international Sergio Oliveira leaving for Olympiacos. However, United’s decision to include Casemiro in their Europa League squad suggests an exit might not be entirely straighforward.
Antony is another United star attracting interest from Turkey. However, despite reported efforts from Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, the winger is thought to have no plans to leave Old Trafford.
“I see reports about a potential exit on loan. Antony’s plan is clear: Manchester United,” the former Ajax star’s agent Junior Pedroso said earlier this year. “He wants to stay, he’s only focused on Man United. We already spoke about that with the club.”
Mirror Football understands Antony wants to stay at United and prove himself, despite seeing opportunities limited of late. He hasn’t started a competitive game for his club since the 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in early May, and has played just one minute of football this season.
Matthijs de Ligt has outlined the role played by Erik ten Hag in convincing him to join Manchester United. The Dutch defender has been reunited with his former Ajax boss after joining United from Bayern Munich, and made his first Premier League start in Sunday’s defeat against Liverpool.
“Yeah obviously [he was] a really important part because he knows me really well, I know him really well,” De Ligt told club media. “He made me captain also at Ajax. Also at my time at Ajax he gave me a lot of confidence, he gave me a lot of motivation to try to lead the team.”
De Ligt will return to club duties after joining up with the Netherlands squad for the September international break. Ronald Koeman’s side have a UEFA Nations League double-header, playing Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany.

after joining Manchester United – Some world class players like CR7 , Varane, Sancho and Casemiro lost their potentials … 😑😑😑
Cr7 has passs his prime, Varane with Injuries, Sancho a lazy fellow n lack discipline, Casemiro can’t keep up with Premier League intensity.

Antony will improve when he leaves man utd and I think that fuck money he eats at United is for nothing the club won’t do something pleasing with stupid Dutch people in the club we are tired of Dutch and that hairless coach who thinks favouring Dutch less fools on the pitch and the club can improve,it can’t improve
Actually more fans back him than don’t, so hard luck buddy. Antony hasn’t been good I agree but he’s done more than Sancho ever did 😂, I know Sancho is the worse player we had at United and all but still. Secondly I’d rather see Dutch players or foringn players to join than having to rely on English players who are the most overrated on earth. 3 games in sure you ain’t crying. Before the season started surely you didn’t believe we’d be challenging for prems. We still need 3 attackers that can dribble, cross, shoot and pass, and we need a playmaker which we haven’t had since sir alex 😂, we need 3 midfielders than run just as much as bruno.

Erik ten Hag, though I am not a Man United fan, for me, was not the right manager for Man U. I still believe that the stature of the club is far too high for an average coach of Erik ten Hag’s level. As coach of Ajax, Erik ten Hag is good enough for them, but certainly not Man U. You find that Erik ten Hag has mainly got players transferred from his former club Ajax to Man United because that’s his level of football at this stage.
He’s not the right manager?, he’s the only good manager that was available can tell you one thing, rather ten hag over managers that haven’t seen a cup before (Southgate x Potter) which would lead us to possibly 12th. Ten hag is the right man your just a bad fan. We lost to Liverpool cause they are better not that deep, it didn’t really help with mainoo and casemiro passing to Liverpool all the time, maybe if they can pass to united players instead we wouldn’t lose the ball that much. Blame the players enough with the ten hag excuses. He signed players he trusts will give there all for him. Better than allowing the players to push you under the bus like they did with Ole. Toxic players like Rashford and Sancho are very quick to give up. So everyone he brought in the summer was a good signing. People think it’s career mode and you can just sign who they like when you like. We have to sell players which will be hard since no club wants them due to being terrible, stupid wages too which no club will pay since they don’t deserve such a big contract. We can’t attract big names without champions league football simple as that.

Manchester United management must sit up. Manchester United is sinking, too fast.
Not really only 3 games in surely you can’t be crying yet? We lost to Liverpool a better squad than ares, then we lost to Brighton due to bad defending. What can the coach do? Run onto the pitch and defend with them? Fair enough if it was another half to go but it was 2 mins 😂 blame the midfield and defence for two them loses.
