Erik ten Hag says only Jadon Sancho can turn things around with the club, with the winger remaining banned from the first team.

WHAT HAPPENED? The Dutchman confirmed that Sancho is still training away from the first team following his comments against Ten Hag in a social media post, and that he will not play against Burnley on Saturday. The winger has reportedly refused to apologize to the manager for his outburst – despite deleting the social media post – and it is unclear whether he will play for United again or not.

WHAT THEY SAY: “It’s up to him. Otherwise, we are preparing for Burnley and that is our goal. He will not be in the selection,” Ten Hag said at a press conference on Friday.

THE BIG PICTURE: Although Sancho and Antony remain absent from the squad for non-sporting reasons, Ten Hag has been boosted by the return to training of four key players. Sofyan Amrabat, midfielder Mason Mount and defenders Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane are all on course to return to full fitness following their respective injuries and could feature from the bench against Burnley.
