I’ve told him earlier he is not part of my team and he will be sold in January
Manchester United’s convincing 3-0 victory over Leicester City on November 10 has been overshadowed by fans’ scathing criticism of Marcus Rashford’s performance, according to Sportskeeda. Despite the win, supporters took to social media to express their frustration with the 27-year-old winger, calling for his sale in the summer.
Rashford started on the left wing but failed to make an impact, creating zero chances and landing zero shots on goal. He also lost three duels and struggled to pose a threat going forward, eventually being substituted off in the 57th minute for Alejandro Garnacho.
Fans were quick to vent their disappointment, with one stating, “There’s no defending that Rashford performance.” Another added, “Needs to go in the summer, need to invest in a world-class LW.” The consensus among supporters was that Rashford’s display was unacceptable and that he has become a liability for the team.
One fan questioned Rashford’s ability, asking, “Why is Marcus Rashford so clueless? He can’t even make good runs.” Another fan declared, “If I am the coach, Rashford will never play even for a single minute.” The criticism was relentless, with some fans suggesting that Garnacho’s impressive substitute appearance had sealed Rashford’s fate.
Garnacho’s stunning goal in the 82nd minute capped an impressive display, highlighting the contrast between the two players. Fans claimed that Rashford had no business starting for United again, with one stating, “After that Garnacho goal, Rashford has no business ever starting a game for United again.”
Rashford’s struggles this season have been well-documented, with just four goals and three assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. His inconsistent form has piled pressure on the winger, and fans are growing increasingly impatient.
One player singled out by incoming Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has bolstered his reputation with an eye-catching performance against Leicester City

Manuel Ugarte shone brightly as Man Utd beat Leicester 3-0
Ruben Amorim’s praise for Manchester United enforcer Manuel Ugarte was proven warranted after the Uruguayan’s composed performance against Leicester City.
In what was Ruud van Nistelrooy’s final game as interim boss, having taking over from Erik ten Hag, United put the Foxes to the sword 3-0 at Old Trafford, creating a sheath of positivity for incoming head coach Amorim to arrive under.
One player, in particular, is very familiar with the Portuguese boss: defensive midfielder Ugarte. Having been courted by Chelsea last year, the 23-year-old left Amorim’s Sporting CP for PSG, where, after a single lacklustre season, he was sold to the Red Devils in August.
Amorim expressed a great desire to reunite with the ‘incredible star’ as soon as it was confirmed the 39-year-old would be touching down in Manchester. Ugarte’s shrewd performance in the middle of the park on Sunday perhaps indicated why.
The 23-year-old showed exactly the reason £42million was parted ways with to secure his services this summer, as he calmly glided across the Old Trafford turf against Steve Cooper’s men, completing 92 per cent of his passes.
However, Ugarte impressed most on the defensive end, as he not only registered three interceptions but also completed eight tackles – the most of any Red Devils player since data records began.
“All the Uruguayans I managed are incredible and that’s why I love all Uruguayans… Ugarte is a very talented boy and has a lot of room to grow,” Amorim told TNT Sports on Friday, evidently eager to reunite with the talented holding player. “I am very happy to know that I have him back at Manchester United!”

Ugarte impressed defensively against the Foxes
Amorim is set to take over on Monday, but it is likely he won’t get a reuinion with Ugarte until after the international break – with Uruguay facing off against Colombia and Brazil, and the enforcer having played both of his country’s last two World Cup Qualifiers in October.
Despite this, Ugarte has mirrored Amorim’s desire for the two to join forces, admitting after his side’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea earlier this month: “I saw that Sporting fans were upset, and that’s understandable because the coach is a great coach.
“It’s good for United. We have to take advantage of it and get him to convey his ideas as quickly as possible. I think it’s going to be a different dynamic, and the day-to-day will be similar to Sporting’s.
“The league, the country, the football… It’s a big challenge for him, but we all know he has the ability. It’s positive, mainly because the club needs to start building a path, which is important, and the coach will be key to that.”
Ugarte also relayed the squad’s shock at the age of their new 39-year-old coach, continuing: “My teammates have asked a lot about him. What surprised them was his age. He’s also very hungry to win, and that’s very important. I can tell he’ll enjoy it.”
