Manchester United are one of the suitors interested in Napoli’s ace, Victor Osimhen, but the Nigerian’s price tag poses a major stumbling block. The Partenopei slapped a reported €130 million release clause on their prized asset, and this has caused admirers of the Nigerian to drag their feet.

The Red Devils’ interests in the former Lille man cooled; however, in the past few days, the links have gathered momentum, and the Premier League side are said to be cooking up an offer that could include a swap deal.

According to CalcioNapoli24, Manchester United are considering including Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund in the deal, a player they signed last summer for a reported €73.9 million fee from Atalanta.

Hojlund has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford, and after only a season at the club, the report claims the Red Devils are willing to part ways with him to facilitate a move for a certified goalscorer in Osimhen.

Will Napoli accept a swap deal?

Manchester United have to get Napoli to agree to any such proposal; however, the Partenopei are not keen on the move, as new manager Antonio Conte is not a fan of Hojlund, according to reports.

Also, as Pulse Sports reported, Conte wants Romelu Lukaku to be Osimhen’s replacement and Napoli have already reached an agreement in principle for the Belgian’s signature.

According to reports, England stars will not be suspended following their gestures during their win over Slovakia.

England defeated Slovakia 2-1 in extra time to advance to the quarterfinals thanks to a late goal from Jude Bellingham and an extra-time winner from Harry Kane.

The Three Lions’ narrow win qualifies them for the quarter-final where they will face Switzerland who defeated Italy.

Bellingham was caught on a video putting his hand beneath his thigh during his jubilation and making an X-rated gesture.

Declan Rice was also caught making some awkward statements towards the Slovakia bench after the game.

Rice and Slovakian manager Francesco Calzona got into a heated argument that resulted in Aaron Ramsdale having to restrain Rice.

Calzona stated that Rice’s refusal to back down when he wanted to talk to the referee resulted in him pushing the midfield player from Arsenal out of the way during the altercation.

He said: “Rice was supposed to go to the referees and leave. I had to speak to the refs and he wasn’t leaving, he carried on. But then he apologised and it was all fine.”

Gareth Southgate, the manager of the Three Lions, is relieved that no disciplinary action is being considered at this time, according to the Sun.

It is believed that none of the match reports issued by Uefa authorities have included the gesture.
