Manchester United rejects £35m Juventus offer for Mason Greenwood.
According to reports, Juventus have submitted a transfer bid for Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.
Manchester United is believed to have received a bid in the region of £40 million from Juventus for Mason Greenwood.
The England international hasn’t played a single game for his boyhood club since January 2022 following his arrest for attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault – charges that were subsequently dropped.
Both Juventus and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in Greenwood, who had a successful loan spell at Getafe with 10 goals and six assists.
United value Greenwood at £50 million, while Juventus’ bid falls significantly short of this valuation, reportedly around €15-17 million.
Manchester United are still keen on offloading Greenwood permanently, to reinvest in other transfers but will not sell for a cut-price deal.
If a suitable offer does not materialize by June 30, Greenwood might return to Manchester United for pre-season training.

Teddy Sheringham believes Mason Greenwood leaving Manchester United permanently this summer is the best outcome for all parties. The 22-year-old has been urged to complete a switch overseas in the coming months, considering a return after his season-long loan at Getafe would risk backlash en masse.
In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested and later charged with attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behaviour, all of which he denied.
The Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges in February 2023, citing the withdrawal of key witnesses and new evidence that had come to light.
United then underwent a six-month investigation into his arrest, concluding that Greenwood should resume his career away from Old Trafford.
Reports claimed that Richard Arnold – the former chief executive leading the review – had privately sanctioned his return, a decision green-lit by then-football director John Murtough and manager Erik ten Hag.
But internal and external uproar seemingly prompted a U-turn before Greenwood was hurried out of the back door on deadline day last summer.
The England international’s future has been up in the air since completing his stint at Getafe, where he registered 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances.
His form in Spain has reportedly attracted heavyweight interest, and a permanent summer departure seems certain as United scramble to raise funds through player sales.

Sheringham would agree with the outcome amid strong links to Juventus, urging Greenwood to keep a low profile away from English football.
“Yeah, I do [think it’d be best for all parties if he was sold],” Sheringham told Express Sport on behalf of TG Casino.
“With what’s gone on with Mason, it would’ve been very hard for him to come back to United and play there. I think there would’ve been a bit of uproar.
“So for him to be playing abroad, not keeping a low profile but keeping a low profile in English football, I think it’s the best idea.”
Following England’s opening game at Euro 2024 against Serbia, Sheringham has questioned whether Greenwood can return to the international frame.
He added: “It’d be interesting to see if he does really well at Juventus [amid reports they’ve agreed personal terms] and starts getting back into the England fold.
“Whether he will get picked again, that’ll be a big question mark. We’ll have to wait and see.”
Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli have also been credited with an interest in the former United No. 11.
