Manchester United striker set to return to former club

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is set to return to Borussia Dortmund.

Jadon Sancho is currently in the doghouse at Manchester United and the winger is training individually after a row with Erik ten Hag.

Even if the relationship is restored, it may only be a temporary measure before the transfer window reopens in January.

There are already rumors about Sancho’s possible destinations as he prepares for his Old Trafford exit

A report in The MEN last week indicated that Sancho was open to a return to Borussia Dortmund.

According to the newspaper Der Westen, the German club also monitored Sancho’s situation. The report states: “Borussia Dortmund followed this very closely. It has long been rumored that Jadon Sancho, unhappy in Manchester, would only like to return to BVB. Now the opportunity is there.

Fight for Sancho

Sancho was considered one of Europe’s brightest talents when he was signed by Manchester United in 2021.

However, he failed to live up to his high price tag and failed to secure a regular place in the starting XI as he was tested in various positions without lasting success.

There is a chance that Sancho’s situation can be fixed, but the longer he stays away from the first team, the less likely that becomes. Last week’s MEN report claimed Sancho was even open to a move to Nottingham Forest, where he could work alongside his former England youth coach Steve Cooper.

The willingness to take this step just to leave Manchester United betrays Sancho’s desperation for a fresh start.

However, a move to Dortmund seems more likely. Leaving the Premier League and returning to the Bundesliga, where he has enjoyed great success, could be the perfect place for him to restart.
