Manchester United winger Antony has reportedly decided that he wants to leave Old Trafford amid interest from Fenerbahce

The 24-year-old made the high-profile switch from Ajax to the Theatre of Dreams during the summer transfer window of 2022 for a fee in the region of £85m.

Since then, Antony has struggled to consistently make a positive impact for Erik ten Hag‘s troops, scoring just 11 goals across 83 appearances.

The Brazilian is on the fringes of the Man United squad at the start of this campaign, earning just a minute of Premier League action during the opening three matches.

Antony has fallen below the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garancho, and Amad Diallo in the pecking order, while fellow winger Jadon Sancho has moved to Chelsea.

According to The Sun, Manchester United’s Antony has made a concrete decision on his future at Old Trafford as the 2024-25 campaign progresses.

The report states that the 24-year-old has concluded that he wants to depart from the red side of Manchester after struggling to earn game time so far this term.

It is understood that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are interested in securing the services of the 16-time international before their transfer window shuts on Friday.

The Red Devils are said to be keen on offloading Antony, however, it is believed that a permanent move away will have to wait until the next calendar year.

As well as the Yellow Canaries, there are supposedly clubs in France, Spain, and Saudi Arabia monitoring the situation of the former Sao Paulo star.

Ahead of their transfer window slamming shut on Friday, Fenerbahce is favourites to secure the signature of Antony on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

The Yellow Canaries have endured a difficult start to the campaign after being dumped out of the Champions League during the qualification rounds by French club Lille.

A switch to Jose Mourinho‘s side would allow Antony to link up with former Man United and Brazil teammate Fred, who left Old Trafford during the summer of 2023.

Man United are one of several clubs interested in free agent Adrien Rabiot but the French international is pricing himself out of a move with his salary demands.

The 29-year-old entered free agency at the end of the 2023/24 campaign having seen his contract at Juventus expire after spending the last five years with the Italian giants. The Serie A club wanted to keep the player but he turned down their contract offer.

Rabiot remains one of the more high-profile names left in the free agency market and Man United are one club interested in the midfielder.

Talks have been held between the Manchester club and the French star but the Red Devils are not likely to make a move for the former PSG talent as his salary demands are too high, reports Football Insider.

According to Calciomercato, Rabiot is said to be insisting on a salary of €10m per season plus a €15m signing-on bonus, not to mention the commission for his agent and mother Veronique.

The 29-year-old’s representatives are currently working hard to find him a club with the new season well underway but they are unlikely to have any joy outside of Saudi Arabia with their demands.

The situation Rabiot finds himself in has become a problem for the player as his inability to find a new club resulted in him missing out on the latest French squad despite regularly featuring at Euro 2024.

The former Juventus star is too good to be without a team and was a regular in the Italian club’s side last season, making 35 appearances across all competitions, notching five goals and three assists.

There are clubs interested in Rabiot but it simply comes down to the finances.

Understandably, the 29-year-old wants a big contract as it will likely be the last one of his career and there is no transfer fee involved; however, his demands are impacting his ability to find a new home and that should be more important for the player.
