Marcus Rashford risks angering Man Utd fans after naming his favorite other City’ to play in

Marcus Rashford has named his favourite city to play football in other than Manchester.

Local boy Rashford came through the ranks at Manchester United before making his first-team debut in 2015 under Louis van Gaal.

On his first appearance for the club at Old Trafford, Rashford scored twice during a 5-1 win over Midtjylland in the Europa League.

Since then, the Englishman has become a fan favourite having scored 128 goals in 328 appearances across all competitions.

Speaking during a meeting with music artists D-Block Europe, Rashford revealed that Liverpool is his favourite city to play in apart from Manchester.

Rashford was asked: “Like we’ve got a favourite city to perform in, have you got a favourite city to like play football in?”

The 26-year-old first said Manchester, but when asked to name another one, he said: “Liverpool, yeah Liverpool.”

This season, Rashford has struggled to produce his best football, having only managed five goals and six assists in 31 matches across all competitions.

Speaking ahead of United’s 2-1 defeat by Fulham, manager Erik ten Hag sent a warning to Rashford and his fellow forward players.

He said: “We have possibilities there (in attack), with Diallo returning from an injury.

“He is doing well in training. Omari Forson, he is doing well. We have options to fill in those positions.”

The Dutchman also backed struggling winger Antony to bounce back, he said: “Ah yes, absolutely (we believe in Antony). He has to prove a point, but he will do. And he has a big potential. He hasn’t shown it lately, but I know what his talent is.

“It is about proving his talent. It is about him. He will probably get his opportunities. But that was always the idea. You have competition. Now, he has to show himself on the training pitch.”
