Napoli in a surprise swap deal with Man Utd player and Osimhen

Napoli are reportedly eyeing a surprise move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to The Athletic. The 27-year-old has been at Old Trafford since 2016 and has made 253 appearances for the Red Devils, contributing 29 goals and eight assists.

McTominay’s contract is set to expire next summer, leading to speculation about his future at Manchester United. Napoli are said to be keen on bringing him to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, with the Partenopei looking to strengthen their midfield options.

The Scottish international has been a key player for Manchester United in recent seasons, but with his contract running down, the club may be willing to let him go. Napoli are not the only club interested in McTominay, with Everton, Brentford, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahce also reportedly in the running.

Manchester United have been busy in the transfer market this summer, signing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, but they may be willing to let McTominay go in order to raise funds for further signings. Napoli, on the other hand, have been quiet in the transfer market, signing only two center-backs so far.

The move would be a surprise, given McTominay’s history with Manchester United, but Napoli are looking to build a strong squad to compete in Serie A and the Champions League. With McTominay’s experience and quality, he could be a valuable addition to the Partenopei’s midfield.

SportsVictor Osimhen Caught Fighting Amid His Uncertain Future At Napoli

Antonio Caliendo, a veteran football agent and widely regarded as the ‘father of agents’, has weighed in on the transfer saga of Chelsea target Victor Osimhen, according to All Nigeria Soccer. Caliendo, who has a wealth of experience in the football industry, has estimated Osimhen’s value at a staggering 200 million euros, equivalent to a third of a trillion naira.

Caliendo’s comments come as Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, with Napoli willing to let him go in order to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. However, negotiations between Napoli and Chelsea have reached an impasse, with Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, pushing for a permanent move rather than a loan with a buy option.

Caliendo has criticized Calenda’s management of Osimhen’s transfer, suggesting that he is prioritizing short-term gains over long-term investments. “The relationship between agent and client has also changed, the intermediary takes care of the deal, not the player,” Caliendo said. “He lives day by day, for me a contract means a long-term investment.”

Caliendo’s expertise and experience in the football industry lend significant weight to his valuation of Osimhen. His estimate of 200 million euros highlights the Nigerian striker’s immense talent and potential, making him a highly sought-after player in the transfer market.

As the summer transfer window nears its close, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain. However, one thing is clear – he is a player of immense value and potential, and his next move will be closely watched by football fans around the world.

Former France striker, Louis Saha, has predicted that Arsenal will not have enough to topple Manchester City and win the Premier League title.

Speaking with CSDB, Saha noted that City are “so comfortable” and the Gunners “won’t have enough”.

He also said he expects transition to happen at Liverpool, after they replaced Jurgen Klopp with Arne Slot. But the Reds should finish behind City and Arsenal.

Saha said: “For me, the Premier League table has an obvious order this season.

“Manchester City are so comfortable and have a squad that fits all the requirements, even though Arsenal have played some great football, they won’t have enough – despite adding quality to their squad.

“Liverpool have changed their manager and will change aspects of their game that we will see, but it will take time.

I think Manchester City will win the title and Liverpool and Arsenal will be just behind. Chelsea have made too many changes and don’t have that foundation, it’s a huge ask for the new manager.

“Manchester United still need to show more but if they don’t make more signings then fourth is what they will have to aim for.”
