Out of nowhere, things suddenly look very rosy for Manchester City.They are doing well in the Premier League. Top of the list, as always. Not to mention that qualification for the round of 16 of the Champions League is already assured with two days to go. Given that City are far from their best, we couldn’t have asked for a much better start to the season. But a defeat against Arsenal and a draw against Chelsea highlighted a weak point this season. Pep Guardiola’s team can be beaten. No other team has been as good at beating City in recent years – apart from perhaps Tottenham – as Liverpool. This is the next step, far from a gentle return to action
