Postecoglou’s side and Jurgen Klopp’s team came into the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium both unbeaten in the Premier League, Spurs after drawing 2-2 at Arsenal and Liverpool following their 3-1 win against West Ham at home. The Australian had to make one change with Brennan Johnson out after suffering a hamstring strain during the draw at the Emirates Stadium.
Richarlison has taken the former Nottingham Forest man’s place and the Spurs head coach has got James Maddison and Son Heung-min available to play, with both back in training in the days before the game after struggling in the aftermath of the derby draw and before it.
